Inner Landscapes

At some point I began to use the horizon line.

I begin a drawing by stretching a line over the page, usually on the bottom, which from now on I regard as the horizon line and from then on the process of drawing relates strongly to this line.

This line separates for me the reality I know and aware of to the deeper hidden notions, feelings, memories, understandings that are strongly live in me.

Some of those notions belong to my family history, some of them relate to my experiences

Some are wishful thoughts and hopes, some take me down to places I'm running away from, some guide me a new path to aim at.

The drawing process is a strong tool that helps me realize and come to terms with the whole sacred me.

Finishing a drawing for me is almost as going through a deep religious ritual and coming out of it richer and thankful.
